I lost 5lbs for the month.  Not the awesomeness of October, but not gaining is awesome in an of itself! :)  Now that my knee is feeling better I'm hoping to start hitting it hard again.

YAY I'm back!

30min, 2.31mi, 285cal +weights

I forgot my heart rate monitor, so I just went with what the treadmill said.

I didn't go for very long today.  Want to work my way back into it.  My knee doesn't hurt.  I feel pretty good too.  I ran at 6mph for 5 min twice.  Never done that before.  Pretty exciting.  I think I'll stay at 30min until I can run at 6mph for the full 30min, then increase my time.  I tend to make these plans and never end up really sticking to them!

Krill Oil

I started on Krill oil for my joints yesterday.  It's also supposed to help with PMS, so double win!  I think I should be able to make it to the gym Monday.  I'm going to try to take it easy, but I don't know if I can!  Go hard or go home! lol

Thinking of going back

to the gym next week.  I was hoping to lose a bit more on Atkin's.  I have a hard time not drinking!  I've been craving sugar in the evenings lately, and instead of eating crap I've started drinking again.  I'm sure my cravings are related to my cycle.  Hopefully those will go away soon and I can see the scale move a bit more.  Although it's been all over the place this week.  Monday was 180, Tuesday 174, Wednesday 170, then today back up to 177.  GRRRRR! lol

Full week without the gym

It's been so busy I don't think I really noticed!  I haven't lost any weight with the new diet, but I haven't gained either.  That's happy.

Need help on the weekends

So my parents came to visit.  I drank and I was eating carbs.  Oops.  I am back into it today.  I didn't gain any weight, but we'll really see it over the next few days.  So back to day one of Atkin's. :)

Knew this would be a good idea!

Since I've started back on Atkin's I've lost 6lbs.  Today is only day 3!  I feel fantastic.  Once I get out of Induction I'm going to start going back to the gym again.  I can't wait!

You're gonna get sick of hearing about my knee!

Sunday Nov 13th:
90min, 2.75-ish miles, 497cal.  We went on a hike as a family.

Monday the 14th:
75min, 4.86mi, 633cal  I did 40min on the treadmill.  I tried running but my knee hurt to bad.  I tried doing the incline walk but I just couldn't get my heart rate up as high as I would like.  Darn this getting fitter! lol  I then did 35min on an elliptical.

My knee was excruciating the rest of the day.  I iced it several times and stayed off of it as much as I could.  Not easy with 3 of my own kids, another I watch, and having to transfer yet another kid from preschool to day care!  It does feel a lot better this morning.  Although now my foot hurts.  I think I have heel spurs.  YAY it never ends! lol  I have some left over Percocet from surgery I had back in July, I was very tempted to take it.  I didn't.  I don't want to mask the pain, do something stupid to make it worse.

I'm thinking of taking a few weeks off from the gym.  The idea terrifies me.  I don't want to get depressed again like I was.  The gym got me out of it.  But if I blow my knee completely I may never get to go back again.  I'm thinking of attempting Atkin's while I'm off of the gym.  Last time I did it I lost quite a bit of weight, but got lax with it (and my depression got to me) and gained it all back.  Cut carbs and gym time for 2 weeks, then introduce carbs and gym time back slowly.  You're not supposed to work out at all during the first 2 weeks of Atkin's anyway.  Maybe if I can lose some more weight, when I do start back at the gym my knee won't hurt so bad.

Shouldn't have started running

I really shouldn't have.  My knees are hurting all the time now.  I didn't go today at all, and probably won't tomorrow.  Maybe I'll go just 3x a week, which means I won't get my November minute goal.  The other day I tried doing the elliptical and it was really hard to get into it.  I just wanted to run!  The worst part about the elliptical, I think, was the lighting.  There was a glare on my Kindle so I couldn't even read.  Plus it's hard to pace myself, I end up going to fast or to slow.  I can't even walk with an incline anymore.  I don't even know if shoes would help much anymore.  I'm to heavy to run on my knees I think.  I just found out that my aunt had to get knee replacement and she isn't even 50 yet.  My grandfather didn't get his replaced til he was 85!

Yesterday I did have my personal best on a treadmill 5k.  Less than 38min, and that was with a 3min walking warm-up.

Cheated yesterday

I had 3 slices of pizza and 5 drinks with 2oz of Bourbon and Diet Pepsi.  Way over on calories, but I felt great this morning.  Not even hung over!  Had a wonderful run.  Stayed at an even 5mph and got my 5k to less than 38min for the first time.  Granted this is on a treadmill.  Right now I'm concentrating on losing the weight before I really start training.  Plus the only indoor track is super short.  Takes 14 laps to go one mile.  That's 44 laps for a 5k.  BORING!! lol

I did 20min on the elliptical today, so that kinda messed up my miles.

I didn't work out all weekend.  I had a lot of fun at my parents' though.  Got really drunk!  I've really cut back on my drinking, so it hit me hard!  Great time though. :)  I forget why I didn't go to the gym Monday.

AWE, my first blister!

My left arch really started hurting so I had to stop early.  Got home, looked and I have a blister.  YAY! lol Now it's really time for new shoes.  Yes, I'm complaining about my shoes again. lol Tonight I'm going to my parents' house, they have an elliptical so I'm going to use that tomorrow morning.  Maybe I can even do it barefoot, or with just socks, to help my blister.  I'll probably take Sunday off, which is why I went yesterday.

Getting my running legs back

I'm working up to it.  Still don't have new shoes.  Doing it anyway.  I was a bit tired today.  Sore from yesterday I figure.

Can I say that I hate water weight and my 'monthly' cycles?  Last Friday I was 182, I'm now up to 190.  Granted Saturday night I did go off plan, but not 8lbs worth of off plan.  Have to keep my chin up and focused on my end goal. :)

My husband has mentioned that my back is getting to 'ripped up'.  He doesn't like it.  He took some pics of it for me to see and I think it looks fine.

I lost 17lbs in October.  How freaking cool is that!?!  That's a LOT of weight for a month.  I sure hope my scale isn't lying to me!

I'm waiting for my husband to come home from some errand he had to run, then I'm off to the gym.  Have to set my goals up for November. :)
